You've got to wonder about some of these deals. This was purchased in 2006 for $998,900. Only 11 months later, it was sold for $1,250,000. In other words, it went UP over 25% at a time when virtually every other home in Broward County went down by 10% or more. Now, it's being offered as a short sale for 33% off the latest purchase.

I remember a time when telling someone you lived in Davie got you a look of pure horror.

Now all of a sudden Davie is prime real estate?

You want to see some disproportionate values? Look up on the BCPA "peppertree" as the street name. Don't put in anything else.

Look at the price paid for homes up to 2000 (and even one in 2003) - then look at the aerial map of the home. Then look at the prices paid in 2004 & up.

It's enough to make you sick.

Here's a specific Address to look at that makes me particularly ill because if that's the HONEST TO GOD actual purchase price, I want to kill myself.

lol... yeah Davie is prime real estate.. the $178k is for the land only. I made a ton (actually millions and I am only 28yr old) because of people stupidity and buzz. Generate enough buzz and you will attract flies. Just today bought a 1.2mil property for 310k cash... sad for those people but they were not thinking. Alles is voor Bassie...:-)
