Thank you to a reader that suggested this first home listed below. I decided to look up some other sellers in the same Plantation development (Fountain Springs). These 'condo conversion' hell-holes originally sold for an average price of $156,000 in 2006. The out-of-state 'investors' neglected to research both property tax rates and the rental market in Palm Beach County. Most bought sight unseen. To add insult to injury, the HOA is in the hole by six figures. The majority of the owners committed mortgage fraud by signing second home riders.
